Early Stage & Pre Start  business support

We have created a business support programme to help you at the early stages of your business.  Start Up London will provide training and coaching  for  pre starters who have an idea and would benefit from both structured and personalised 121 support to refine business planning, define clients and develop a marketing strategy. The programme will also support businesses that have been running for less than  18 months  to help them plan and consider their growth strategies.

For Pre Starts

We will share the knowledge, experience and strategies we have gathered over the years to help you implement proven methods to launch your business with strong foundations for growth. Working alongside other ambitious starters and a start-up coach you will be inspired and supported to achieve the goal of running your own business.

Outcomes

The programme is designed to support participants to work on their business idea to achieve the following:

This programme is designed to help early stage businesses to overcome obstacles to growth by working with you to:

  • Create an effective, executable strategy in marketing, sales, operations, finance and team
  • Develop your skills in the above 5 core areas of the business
  • Work through your current challenges and explore growth opportunities
  • Unblock limitations and build confidence
  • Improve your efficiency and effectiveness
  • Embed a sustainable business development methodology which will help you to keep maximising on your growth plans

What’s Involved?

This programme will include a combination of group and 121 work.

Programme Content

  • Business Leadership
  • Success Mindset
  • Strategy On a Page part 1 (Purpose, Vision & Values)
  • Marketing strategy and campaign planning (60% of Strategy On a Page Completed and 50% of marketing and Sales plan) including USPs, Target markets, marketing channels and key development needs.
  • Sales Strategy, process and skills/performance improvement (70% of Strategy on a Page completed and 100% of marketing and sales plan) Including sales systems and processes, pricing model, pitches and communications and campaign implementation.
  • Operations, Talent and Finance Strategy including identifying and planning for streamlining, assessing recruitment and team development needs and identifying costs for growth and how to fund it.
  • Finish any actions from previous weeks
  • 100% of 1st draft of Strategy On a Page completion and input onto Strategy On a Page online platform
  • Facilitated group coaching session including accountability to actions committed to, sharing of problems and challenges and identifying solutions as a group.

Undertake 121s to address key challenges and further clarify strategy and work through any challenges to executing it.

All group and 121 work completed and participants are invited to take part in completing feedback surveys.

2 x 1.5 hour meetings online to be used throughout the course of the programme

  • 1 x 90 Minute 121’s to support developing the final version of your Strategy On a Page and to deep dive into specific challenges
  • 1 x 90 Minute 121 to do a deep dive into a specific area of challenge.
