Successful Budgeting for 2022/23: An Introduction to the Strong Early Years London Budget Toolkit and Support
The Strong Early Years London project has developed an accessible and engaging spreadsheet tool that can help managers forecast their income and expenditure to enhance their setting’s financial performance. The Toolkit’s developers have drawn on years of experience in nursery and pre-school budget planning to develop an easy to use system that can be applied to sessional and full-day care provision and incorporates all potential income streams. This session launches the Budget Toolkit and outlines the consultancy support provided by the project team that will help managers use it effectively.
Early Years Policy & Practice Update (November 2021)
The Chancellor’s Budget and Comprehensive Spending Review presented a raft of initiatives affecting the funding of early years provision, professional development and family support. At the same time, the sector is settling into a new EYFS and the return of Ofsted inspections. The Early Years Alliance’s policy and practice experts, Shannon Pite and Melanie Pilcher, provide a timely update and consideration of the impact of these measures for the sector.
