Pan London Early Years Sector Skills

Backed by the Mayor and the European Social Fund, the Pan London Early Years Sector Skills (PLEYSS) training programme aims to support adults and young people to gain relevant skills and find work in the early years sector and to diversify the sector workforce in the capital.

The training programme is open to young people and adults aged 16 and upwards who are unemployed, not currently in education and living in London.  There are two different routes on offer: one for those looking to work in nurseries and preschools, and the other for those looking to work as childminders or nannies.

The training includes full mentoring support, employment support and a guaranteed interview.  Upon completion of the course, learners will have a recognised qualification, either the Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare, or Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People.
