Help to Grow: Digital is a UK-wide government-backed scheme that aims to help you choose, buy and adopt digital technologies that will help you grow your business.

The Help to Grow: Digital website provides you with free, impartial advice, guidance, and tools, to explore the  potential digital technology has to help your business to grow.

Take the first step and get help to:

  • Identify the digital technology needs of your business.
  • Make informed decisions about which software products best meet those needs.
  • Successfully incorporate these products into your business.

Financial support

Help to Grow: Digital also offers you financial help to buy digital technology. If you are eligible, you can access a discount of up to 50% on the costs of buying approved software, worth up to £5,000, on the Help to Grow: Digital website.

The Help to Grow: Discount is currently available from approved suppliers of the following software types:

  • Customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Digital accounting.
  • eCommerce.

Who is it for?

All businesses are able to benefit from free online advice on the platform.

The financial discount towards purchasing approved digital technologies from technology suppliers listed on the Help to Grow: Digital online platform is available to UK businesses that meet all four eligibility criteria below:

  • UK registration. Your business must be registered in the UK and be registered with either Companies House or be a registered society listed on the Financial Conduct Authority’s Mutuals Register.
  • Have traded for over 12 months. Your business must have been actively trading for over 12 months prior to the date of application.
  • 1 – 249 employees. Your business must have a minimum of 1 employees, but no more than 249. Read our General Guidance for more information about employee criteria.
  • New software. Your business must be purchasing the approved software for the first time.

To apply for a discount you will need to:

Step 1: Choose your software

Step 2: Provide information about you and your company as part of the eligibility and fraud checks

Step 3: Once the checks are complete, you’ll receive an email. Confirm your email address to continue

Step 4: Wait to receive your email confirming if you’ve passed the eligibility and fraud checks

Step 5: If successful, you’ll receive a unique link. Use it on the supplier’s website to buy your chosen software

All discounts need to be redeemed within 30 days from issue. After 30 days you will need to reapply.

Eligible businesses will only receive one discount towards the purchase of one approved software product up to a maximum of £5,000 (not including VAT).

The financial discount covers 12 months’ worth of approved software product core costs, exclusive of VAT.
