Hatch: Programmes for Entrepreneurs

Hatch works with entrepreneurs from diverse, under-served communities to develop ideas into successful and sustainable businesses.

It runs a number of programmes for entrepreneurs who want to scale their impact and grow their business, including:

Launchpad

Launchpad is a 12-week programme to help you take your business idea forward. Over six sessions, you will learn how to build a profitable business model, grow your network and develop the confidence to pitch your business idea to a group of dragons.

Support includes: 

  • 12 hours of masterclasses covering topics such as mission development, branding, sales, funding, pitching and business modelling.
  • 12+ hours of peer learning and coaching, as well as informal drop-in advice sessions.
  • A financial clinic to help with your questions about prices, costs, sales and overheads.
  • The chance to showcase your business to a panel of experts at Demo Day and get feedback to help develop your idea.

Eligibility 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • You are based in the UK.
  • You have an idea and want to launch your own business.
  • You want to increase your business knowledge, skills and confidence.
  • You want to network and be part of a cohort of other entrepreneurs.
  • You can commit to the full six workshops and Demo Day.

Participants are required to pay a £50 fee. There are also a limited number of bursary places. Launchpad is delivered online via Zoom.

Incubator

Incubator is aimed at those who want to develop an existing early-stage business and get support to navigate the challenges to business growth.

Support includes: 

  • 18 hours of masterclasses covering issues such as mission and value, business strategy, finance, legal, partnerships, marketing and sales, and pitching.
  • 18 hours of peer learning.
  • A financial clinic to help with your questions about prices, costs, sales and overheads.
  • The chance to showcase your business to a panel of experts at Demo Day and get feedback to help develop your business.

Eligibility 

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • You are based in the UK.
  • You are running an early-stage business that you want to grow.
  • You have started trading, or have customers or clients, and at least one part-time staff member (including yourself).
  • You want to increase your business knowledge, skills and confidence.
  • You want to network and be part of a cohort of other entrepreneurs.
  • You can commit to the full nine workshops and Demo Day.

Participants are required to pay a £150 fee. There are also a limited number of bursary places. Incubator is delivered online via Zoom.

Accelerator

Over six months, Accelerator supports women entrepreneurs to scale their business, grow their connections, access mentorship and benefit from expert-led workshops.

Support includes:

  • 24 hours of masterclasses on topics such as strategy, finance, leadership, marketing, HR, operations, sales and pitching.
  • 24 hours of peer learning, coaching and accountability groups.
  • Bespoke one-to-one support
  • The chance to showcase your business to a panel of experts at Demo Day and get feedback to help develop your business.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • You are a woman or other marginalised gender.
  • You are the founder or director of a business based in the UK.
  • You have an annual turnover of £50,000 and above.
  • You employ at least one member of staff or full-time equivalent.
  • You want to increase your business knowledge, skills and confidence.
  • You want to network and be part of a cohort of other entrepreneurs.
  • You can commit to the workshops and Demo Day.

Participants are required to pay a £300 fee. Accelerator is delivered online via Zoom.

1-2-1 Skilled Volunteering

The 1-2-1 Skilled Volunteering programme matches entrepreneurs with skilled volunteers to help them overcome business challenges and achieve their goals. Support covers topics including:

  • Business strategy.
  • Operations.
  • Marketing.
  • Finances.
  • Branding.
  • Communications.
  • Legal.
  • Sales
  • Partnerships.
  • HR.
  • IT systems.
