Cybersecurity and Two-Factor Authentication

London Business Hub is providing advice and information to help businesses and the self-employed work safely during COVID-19. This week, we provide advice and tips on how to secure your online accounts with two-factor authentication.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) helps make your online accounts more secure and protects them from unauthorised access. When signing into accounts that use 2FA, you will usually be asked to enter your password and input an extra layer of security that only you can access.

  • Biometrics, such as fingerprint or facial recognition.
  • Key cards.
  • ID cards.
