Central Research Laboratory
The Central Research Laboratory (CRL) is a startup accelerator and coworking space based in Hillingdon. It is full of hardware, digital, design and business talent.
It provides specialist facilities, knowledge and networks to grow product-based businesses, including connected products, robotics, wearables and Internet of Things.
Support programmes
CRL runs a number of business support programmes, including:
BOOST is a fully-funded scale-up programme for startups. It offers support in manufacturing, product development, marketing and investment to help participants take products to market and scale. Support includes workshops, one-to-one mentoring sessions and expert sessions led by marketing consultants. Find out more.
Accelerator works with early-stage hardware startups building physical products. It helps them to take prototypes towards manufacture and commercialisation. Participants can access support to help with product development, commercial strategy, investment readiness and engineering support. A grant of up to £5,000 to help with testing and product development costs is also available. Find out more.
Workspace
The CRL provides a number of membership packages that allow flexible access to coworking space in west London. The workspace provides access to prototyping workshops, products-focused expertise and business support.
The CRL is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
