Business Adaptation Project

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has partnered with Enterprise Nation to deliver the Business Adaptation Project.

The project will provide 215 small local  businesses with a programme of business support and up to £1,250 in match-funding. Support will help businesses adapt to the post-Covid business environment and take steps to safeguard and future-proof their future.

Examples include:

  • Strengthening cybersecurity measures.
  • Buying new equipment to make the business more flexible.
  • Investing in training.
  • Improving products and services.
  • Taking out additional insurance policies.
  • Cash flow forecasting.
  • Purchasing safety equipment to protect staff and customers.

Participants also receive free membership to Enterprise Nation, as well as opportunities to promote their business.


  • You must have been trading in London Borough of Tower Hamlets before 30 June 2021.
  • You must be registered as a Limited Company on Companies House or be a sole trader registered with HMRC and have a Unique Tax Reference number (UTR).
  • You must have a British business bank account used for day-to-day business transactions.
  • You must have fewer than 49 employees.
  • You must demonstrate how receiving the grant will help you adapt and future-proof your business.
  • You must demonstrate that you have the funds complete the project (the grant will fund a maximum of 85% of your project).
  • You must not have received a cash grant though the Pivot Project programme.
