The BFI Film Fund provides funding for projects that:
- Create films, TV or new formats of storytelling.
- Help emerging filmmakers to build skills and progress their creative careers.
- Bring film to a wider and diverse audience.
- Promote international engagement with British filmmaking.
British certification and tax relief
The BFI provides advice and information about how to qualify a film, high-end television programme, animation programme, children’s programme or video game as British in order to access the UK’s creative sector tax reliefs.
