A delay in payments can lead to cashflow problems for small businesses and consequently creating difficulties in paying creditors on time. According to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), 50,000 small firms go under each year because of late-paying clients. That’s why the London Economic Action Partnership (LEAP), the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) and Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (Herts LEP) together with their respective Growth Hubs and in partnership with the Small Business Commissioner’s (SBC) office, are offering advice on avoiding late payments via live webinar. The session will be followed by Q&As.
About the Small Business Commissioner’s Office
Set up by Government in 2016 under the Enterprise Act 2016, the SBC is an independent public body that tackles late payment and unfavourable payment practices in the private sector.
