Between 2020 and 2021, the London Business Hub administered ERDF grants of up to £5,000 to businesses to support them through the pandemic. The funding could be spent on consultancy support or equipment. Find out how our grants helped Gianni Botsford Architects.
Tell us about your business?
We are an Architects Practice working on a range of residential and cultural projects in the UK and abroad.
How did the pandemic effect your business?
At lockdown we had no access for our remote staff to the server and limited access to laptops etc.

What support did you receive?
We were provided with funds to resolve the access to the server by setting up a firewall, access to a new Sharepoint, and the provision of two high-speed laptops able to work with the specialist software we use.
What would have happened if support was not available?
We have found the injection of support at a critical time after months of lockdown allowed us to resolve a number of issues that we had felt were difficult to resolve. Finally all remote work was able to be seamlessly accessed and we were able to work collaboratively for the first time. The provision of the laptops allowed staff who were struggling with their existing equipment to work productively as if they were in the studio which has been immensely helpful since then on a number of competitions and projects. Without the support we would not have been able to set up these measures that now future proof the company through these unpredictable times.
